This is an oath.

This is an oath. I’m ready to turn over a new leaf. I’m going to let the power of the written word hold me accountable to what I’m thinking now. I’m going to take a step forward, no matter how big or small that may be. I’m going to do something different as soon as I wake up tomorrow. I’m going to tell myself that I am in control. I’m going to be healthy again as I have been before. I’m going to reclaim my life and I’m going to make sure I do more than think. I’m going to be happy with whatever weight I am at - this is a battle against myself and the progress of other people will have nothing to do with me. To be the best I can be I will:

1. Clean out my room.

2. Exercise.

3. Eat healthy.

4. Stop thinking and just do.

5. Read.

I didn’t have support before, so I don’t need support now. I am the only one with the power to stop myself. I promise I won’t.

This is an oath. The written word will hold me accountable.

"The British psychoanalyst D. W. Winnicott believed artists were people driven by the tension between the desire to communicate and the desire to hide."

"I think that if I ever have kids, and they are upset, I won’t tell them that people are starving in China or anything like that because it wouldn’t change the fact that they are upset. And even if somebody else has it much worse, that doesn’t really change the fact that you have what you have."
